Jennifer Grey's career has lasted for almost 30years. Grey's career stretches back almost 30 years. Her supporting performances are The Cotton Club (as Jeannie) and Red Dawn. Grey's portrayal as the anxious Jeannie opposite Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off by John Hughes made her a star. On Dirty Dancing, she played Frances "Baby Houseman" opposite Patrick Swayze. This iconic role brought her Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress. There were other major roles in films that followed and included Wind, Bloodhounds of Broadway, Bounce and Red Belt. She starred in numerous TV movies, such as The Westside Waltz with Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli and Kathy Bates, HBO's Fallen Angels The -A Dime a Dance Cable Ace Nomination, Best Actress, Murder in Mississippi as Rita Shwerner, and The Road to Christmas. The actress starred as Rita in the David Milch HBO series John from Cincinnati.
